In April, Harvest, Inc., has been awarded a Micro-Grant of $2,500 for its new community garden in Lawton. Harvest, Inc. and the F.A.M.I.L.Y. group are combining efforts to build community through family relations. The grant will be used to purchase fencing, materials for raised garden beds, composting bins, tools. The garden will be open to all community members, on a first come, first serve basis. This sustainable garden will help to advance the Gilchrist Foundation’s interest in conservation efforts.
